Summary

For Rohingya women in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, the refugee camp is not simply a humanitarian space. It is a site where gender-based violence (GBV) is woven into the structures of displacement and exclusion. To understand their struggle, we must move beyond viewing GBV as isolated abuse and instead situate it within the broader spectrums of intersectionality, feminist legal theory, and women’s agency. Only then can we grasp why access to justice remains elusive, and why the experience of migration and statelessness intensifies vulnerability.
