We have created a new online guide with clear and reliable information on the support available to women seeking asylum throughout pregnancy.

All women have the right to receive free maternity care from the National Health Service (NHS) during pregnancy and after birth. This includes women seeking asylum – even if their claim has been refused.

Our free ‘Pregnancy and asylum’ guide includes essential information on:

• the healthcare they are entitled to receive
