Our Members

Since launching in 2021, WiRL has grown to more than 150 members with a diversity of experience and knowledge about the rights and needs of asylum-seeking and refugee women.

Existing members include academics, community groups and NGO representatives, legal practitioners, policy-makers and – most importantly – women with lived experience of asylum systems. Membership of WiRL is open to anyone whose work or interests concern refugee or asylum-claiming women. Our network benefits from the knowledge of individuals with highly influential roles in international refugee law and women’s rights in policy and practice, but is also open to those at an earlier point in their career.

WiRL membership is free. Becoming a member of our specialist legal and practice knowledge-exchange forum gives you access to members-only events and resources. Members are encouraged to contribute to WiRL, including through participation at the quarterly online Kitchen Table events, however there are no requirements of members other than a commitment to WiRL’s values and objectives [link to these]

If you would like to find out more or are interested in joining WiRL, please contact us and we will get back to you.
