Our Members
Since launching in 2021, WiRL has grown to more than 200 members with a diversity of experience and knowledge about the rights and needs of asylum claiming and refugee women.
Existing members include academics, community groups and NGO representatives, legal practitioners, policymakers and – most importantly – women with lived experience of asylum systems. Membership of WiRL is open to anyone whose work or interests concern refugee or asylum-claiming women. Our network benefits from the knowledge and experience of our diverse membership, united in a commitment to promoting the rights and protection needs of asylum claiming, refugee and displaced women through research, policy and practice.
